On 28th June 2019 cPanel announced a massive price increase. It has been increased to 800% or more. The whole web hosting world has been shocked by the act of cPanel team.
cPanel is an user-friendly control panel which is serving web hosting industry since 20 years. Most of the users are very compatible with cPanel hence they prefer it.
Previous cPanel price upto 2019:
cPanel has separate license for VPS and Dedicated. There are no limits of accounts on each licenses.

Ans: As there are no limits of account, the price is only $45/month.
Q. What is the price for a VPS server with 300 cPanel Accounts? (upto December 2019)
Ans: As there are no limits of account, the price is only $20/month.

What cPanel price changed from January 2020?
- Completely removed separate price for VPS Licenses. Removed cPanel solo license.
- For $45/month they allow upto 100 cPanel accounts, any additional account charges are $0.20 per account.
Q. What is the cPanel License price for a Dedicated server with 1100 cPanel Accounts? (upto December 2020)
Ans: $45 (for upto 100 accounts) + $200 (for additional 1000 accounts) = $245/month which is 544% increase since last $45/month (2019) price and it will go more with more accounts.
Q. What is the price for a VPS server with 300 cPanel Accounts? (upto December 2020)
Ans: $45 (for upto 100 accounts) + $40 (for additional 200 accounts) = $85/month which is 425% increase since last $20/month (2019) price and it will go more with more accounts.
The whole web hosting worlds are shocked by the brutal price increase. The popular forums are flooded by the new threads of this.
But they didn't even care about it. They again increased price from January 2021

What cPanel price changed from January 2021?
- cPanel solo license back again with a price of $15/month.
- Fixed charges increase upto 10% per license.
- Per account charges increase from $0.2 to $0.3 per account, which is 50%

Ans: $48 (for upto 100 accounts) + $60 (for additional 200 accounts) = $108/month which is 540% increase since last $20/month (2019) price and it will go more with more accounts.
Third cPanel Price increase: January 2022

What cPanel price changed from January 2022?
- cPanel fixed price increase upto 20%.
- Per account charges increase to $0.34 per account, which is 70% increase since January 2020 and 13.33% increase from the last year.

Ans: $54 (for upto 100 accounts) + $340 (for additional 1000 accounts) = $394/month which is 875% increase since last $45/month (2019) price and it will go more with more accounts.

Ans: $54 (for upto 100 accounts) + $68 (for additional 200 accounts) = $122/month which is 610% increase since last $20/month (2019) price and it will go more with more accounts.
How it impacts on service?
Since we can see cPanel increasing their price every year! It is brutal and inhuman move by a corporate giant! In these pandemic situation all small businesses are fighting for survive but they didn't care!
We are discussing and will move our Web hosting package to a different control panel. There are plenty of other options such as DirectAdmin, Plesk (we will not go with them because they are owned by same company), CWP, Webuzo etc.
